Voting

A vote differs from a survey because the result becomes a decision, so one person must vote once. Both templates here ship with one response per device switched on: coming back shows a «you have already voted» screen. The protection runs in the browser, and if you pass a participant key in the link, the server also rejects repeats by that key.

The online poll template has three blocks: a rules screen, a single choice and an optional comment. That is enough to pick a date for the team party, a product name or the topic of the next meetup. The default options are A, B and C; replacing them takes a minute.

The residents’ vote is built for choosing shared-space improvements: unit number, what to do first, how urgent it is, other suggestions and consent to data processing. The unit number helps you see how many households took part. Treat the result as a read on neighbours’ opinion before a formal meeting, not as a legally binding decision.

Decide before launch who gets a vote and how you will check it. A link in an open chat gives a vote to anyone who sees it, guests included. If you need an eligible list, send links with a personal key, or ask for the unit number and check it against your register afterwards. Announce a closing date too: a vote with no deadline drags on for weeks and gets disputed by whoever missed it.
