# Askyo vs WebAsk

WebAsk is one of the most complete survey tools on the Russian-language market: 35 question types, a logic map and an on-premise box. Here is how the plans and features line up.

## Which one to pick

### Pick WebAsk if

- you need A/B tests of question wording, quotas and screen-outs
- you are moving from Typeform and want to keep the old responses
- your team works from email and wants a message on every response
- you get fewer than 100 responses a month and want to stay free

### Pick Askyo if

- the survey branches a lot and you want to see all of it on one diagram
- you collect thousands of responses: 5,000 a month cost 1 490 ₽
- the survey has to live on your own site as a one-line widget
- you want the Yo assistant to draft a survey from a plain description

## In short

WebAsk covers almost every research need: A/B tests of question wording, quotas, imports from Typeform with the responses, and an email on every submission. Askyo has a narrower feature set, but its logic is built directly on a diagram, and 5,000 responses a month cost 1 490 ₽ against 2 890 ₽ on the WebAsk Standard plan. WebAsk prices and limits were checked against webask.io/pricing on 27 September 2026.

### Where WebAsk is strong

- yes A generous free plan: up to 50 surveys and 100 responses every month
- yes Imports surveys from Typeform and Anketolog together with their responses
- yes A/B testing of question wording and a logic map that flags loops, on every plan
- yes An email on every response and an auto-reply to the respondent
- yes An API from the Basic plan and an on-premise box for your own server

### Where Askyo is ahead

- yes Logic is built on a diagram: questions are nodes, jumps are arrows, and the diagram is the editor
- yes 5,000 responses a month for 1 490 ₽ (Pro) against 2 890 ₽ (Standard)
- yes 43 question types, including ranking, pairwise comparison and card sorting
- yes The Yo assistant on every plan: it drafts a survey from a description and edits an existing one
- yes A one-line script widget for your site: Shadow DOM, about 35 KB
- yes Four ways to take a survey: a list, one question at a time, pages or chat

## When WebAsk is the better choice

The honest part: cases where switching is not worth it.

### A/B tests and quotas

WebAsk compares up to 10 versions of the same question and names the winner with statistical significance. Quotas and screen-outs arrive on its Standard plan. Askyo has neither, so for panel research with quotas WebAsk is the more convenient tool.

### Moving from Typeform with your history

WebAsk imports surveys from Typeform and Anketolog together with their responses. Askyo imports nothing: the survey is rebuilt by hand and the old responses stay in your export. If one continuous report across years matters, that points to WebAsk.

### Email notifications

WebAsk sends an email on every response and can auto-reply to the respondent. Askyo sends no email at all: responses land in the dashboard inbox and, from Pro, go to Telegram or a webhook. If your team lives in its mailbox, that is a real difference.

## WebAsk and Askyo pricing side by side

The WebAsk pricing page lists five levels: Zero (free), Basic at 1 790 ₽ a month (1 530 ₽ billed yearly), Standard at 2 890 ₽, Premium at 4 290 ₽ and Enterprise on request. Their response allowances are 100, 1,000, 5,000 and 20,000 a month.

Askyo has Free (0 ₽ forever, 150 responses in total), Pro at 1 490 ₽ (5,000 responses a month), Team at 3 500 ₽ (15,000 and five users), Business at 8 900 ₽ (75,000) and Enterprise. For a survey that runs continuously and collects thousands of responses, Askyo is cheaper at every step. Below 100 responses a month the free WebAsk plan wins: its allowance resets monthly, ours on Free does not.

## Logic map versus graph editor

Both tools branch. WebAsk draws a logic map of all jumps and flags gaps and loops for you, on every plan. In Askyo the diagram is not a report next to the editor, it is the editor: you add a question as a node and drag an arrow from an answer option to the next step.

The difference shows on long surveys with a dozen conditions. When the logic is the picture, you see the mistake as you make it rather than after a test run. On Free a single question can split into up to three branches; from Pro there is no limit.

## Moving your surveys from WebAsk to Askyo

Askyo has no importer, from WebAsk or from anywhere else. A survey is rebuilt by hand. This is the order that takes the least time.

1. Export the responses you already have from WebAsk: CSV, XLSX, PDF, Word and SPSS exports are on every WebAsk plan. Old responses do not move into Askyo, so keep the file.
2. Copy the question texts and answer options out of WebAsk into one document, in order, with a note on where each branch leads.
3. Open the Askyo builder and paste that text into the Yo assistant. It drafts the survey and shows every change before applying it; the free plan includes 10 Yo requests.
4. Check the question types: turn a 0–10 scale into an NPS question, a grid into a matrix, and phone or email into fields with input validation.
5. Build the logic on the diagram: drag arrows from answer options to the next questions, then walk through every branch yourself.
6. Publish, swap the old link for the new one, and put the one-line widget on your site.

## The verdict

WebAsk is stronger when the survey needs research tooling around it: A/B tests, quotas, history imported from Typeform, email notifications. If you care more about building a branching survey quickly, seeing all of the logic on one diagram and paying less per 5,000 responses, Askyo is the better fit.

Frequently asked questions

## WebAsk or Askyo: common questions

What is WebAsk?

WebAsk (webask.io) is a Russian online survey service. It offers 35 question types, branching with a logic map, A/B tests of question wording, an API and an on-premise box. The free Zero plan allows up to 50 surveys and 100 responses a month; paid plans start at 1 790 ₽ a month.

Which is cheaper, WebAsk or Askyo?

It depends on volume. At 5,000 responses a month Askyo is cheaper: Pro costs 1 490 ₽, while WebAsk reaches that allowance on Standard at 2 890 ₽. At low volume the free WebAsk plan is better value: 100 responses every month against 150 responses in total on the Askyo free plan.

Can I move my surveys from WebAsk to Askyo?

Not automatically: Askyo has no importer. Export your WebAsk responses to CSV or XLSX and keep them. Paste the questions as text into the Yo assistant, which drafts the survey, then draw the logic with arrows on the diagram and test every branch yourself.

Which has more question types?

Askyo has 43 question types; WebAsk lists 35 on its pricing page. Some are paid on both. WebAsk opens NPS, matrix and scale questions from its Basic plan. Askyo gives 33 types on Free, while file upload, voice and video recording start on Pro.

Do both offer a self-hosted version?

Yes. WebAsk sells its box for 590 000 ₽ for the first year and 250 000 ₽ for each renewal. Askyo includes an on-premise build in Enterprise, licensed once or by subscription, priced on request. For public sector and large companies compare the final contracts, not the price list.
